Kelly creates Education Council by Executive Order Thursday

Kansas Governor Laura Kelly signed an executive order Thursday creating her own Governor’s Council on Education.

“This group will work together to develop plans to improve the education outcomes in Kansas,” said Kelly at a Thursday press event. “They’ll look for ways to enhance early childhood education opportunities, create productive relationships between the education and the business communities, promote an entrepreneurial economy and develop partnerships to address the workforce needs of our Kansas businesses.”

The council will have its first meeting next Wednesday.
