Phillips also recorded 45 tackles including 27 solo stops and eight quarterback hurries. Defensively, the Bearcats were top 10 in Division II for rush defense.

For the second consecutive year, FHSU’s Brown was named as the special teams player of the year. He had the longest field goal in the MIAA with a 56-yard make and ranked second in the league with 109 points scored. Brown was 19-of-23 when called upon and was 52-of-54 on extra points. On kickoffs, he had 41 touchbacks and averaged 58.8 yards per kickoff.
