Alpha Media Topeka Listeners Step Out Supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Alpha Media Topeka’s WIBW-FM 94.5 Country and KTPK Country 106.9 hosted its annual Country Cares Radiothon during February in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Thanks to a strong community of devoted local listeners, The BIG 94.5 Country and Country 106.9 raised more than $81,000.
This was a record-breaking year for The BIG 94.5 Country and Country 106.9 raising more than they ever have with the Radiothon for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Many volunteers helped to answer calls from St. Jude supporters during the Radiothon, while the text line also proved to be a great tool for getting pledges rolling in.
The BIG 94.5 Country and Country 106.9 staff is working on big goals for the 2020 Country Cares Radiothon and is excited to continue supporting St. Jude and their mission: “Finding Cures. Saving Children.”
Market Manager Larry Riggins commented on the announcement: “St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has a special place in the hearts of our Alpha Media Topeka staff. We have been raising money for St. Jude since the very first Radiothon in the early ’80s, and we’ll continue to do so until childhood cancer no longer exists. Thank you to our dedicated staff and our thousands of loyal listeners without whom this would never be possible.”
