AUDIO: MIAA Football Media Day with Washburn, Fort Hays State, Emporia State and Pittsburg State

The 2019 MIAA football season officially kicks off on Thursday, September 5. Similar to previous seasons, teams will play an 11 game conference schedule that concludes on Saturday, November 16.
Coaches Poll
In the coaches poll, FHSU earned 114 points and six first-place votes for the top spot. NW was edged out by just two points to finish second with five first-place votes. Pittsburg State had 97 points and received one first-place for the third spot. Central Oklahoma earned 90 points for fourth followed by Central Missouri in fifth with 80 points.
Emporia State was tabbed sixth as Missouri Western placed seventh and Washburn came in eighth. Nebraska Kearney was selected in the ninth spot with Missouri Southern in the 10th position and Northeastern State at 11th. Lincoln rounded out the final spot of the 2019 Coaches Preseason Poll.
