No. 3 Washburn volleyball won its fourth-consecutive match on Thursday night with a 3-1 road victory against Missouri Western. The Ichabods move up to 19-2 (11-2 MIAA) on the season while the Griffons drop to 11-9 (5-7 MIAA).

The Ichabods are ranked 3rd in the most recent Top 25 volleyball poll.

The Ichabods have just seven games remaining before the MIAA tournament.

Erica Montgomery, the lone senior on the team, is third on the team in kills with 198 and is one of the quiet leaders of the team. She also has one of the busiest schedules of any college athlete as she has been in the nursing program at Washburn while playing volleyball.

Montgomery spoke on how difficult it is being in the nursing program at Washburn and playing volleyball, why the team has played so well this year, how being the lone senior has been a good thing plus much more.
