AUDIO: Washburn Baseball and Softball Coaches Show

Mother Nature continues to make life tough for the Ichabod baseball and softball teams and games and cancelled and postponed it seems every week.

The Ichabod baseball team started up MIAA play last weekend when they traveled to Lindenwood to take on the Lions. The Ichabods went 1-2 in the three game series. Falling in game one,  7-2 and in game two, 9-4.  Sunday’s finale was won by the Ichabods 12-2.

Harley Douglas recaps the weekend series, what the Ichabods need to work on, who played well and a look at this weekends series against Pittsburg State.

The Ichabod softball team didn’t play last week due to the cancellation of the Emporia State tournament. Washburn is dealing with some injuries at a lot of different places, including pitcher, so the week off was good for Ichabods.

The Ichabod softball team will head to Joplin this weekend to play two games on Friday as the games on Saturday and Sunday were cancelled.

Brenda Holaday is happy they were able to get outside for a few days and gives an update on the injuries of some plays as well as what would Brenda do if she could change one thing in D2 softball.
