Bearcats and Ichabods Are Top Two Seeds in MIAA T

The MIAA released the 2019 men’s basketball championship bracket. The official bracket is available here.

Northwest Missouri is the top seed after completing the first undefeated conference season since 1966-67. The Bearcat await eighth-seeded Emporia State and ninth-seeded Northeastern State. ESU and NSU will be the first game on Wednesday, March 6 at 12 p.m. The winner of that game will play NW on Thursday, March 7 at 12 p.m.

Washburn earned the second seed for the championship. Seventh-seeded Lindenwood plays Tenth-seeded Southwest Baptist on Wednesday, March 6 at 2:15 p.m. The winner of the 7/10 seeded match-up plays the Ichabods at 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, March 7.

Friday, March 8 at 12 p.m. features fourth-seeded Fort Hays State against fifth-seeded Lincoln. Following the Tigers and Blue Tigers will be third-seeded Missouri Southern against sixth-seeded Pittsburg State. The rival Lions and Gorillas tip-off at 2:15 p.m. on Friday, March 8.

No. 1 Northwest Missouri vs No. 8/9 Winner – 12 p.m.
