Body found in car Saturday afternoon in Topeka

A Saturday afternoon accident caused the discovery of a man who died while driving, but not from the accident.

Just after 4 p.m. dispatch was told about an accident on Highway 24 just east of Topeka Boulevard.

Officers found a single vehicle with a man inside by himself. He was unresponsive and they took him to a hospital where he died.

It looks like there was some sort of medical problem that caused the death. The man’s name has not been released.
