Child hit by car in Topeka Tuesday; injuries considered life-threatening

A car hit a child on a bike just before 7 p.m. Tuesday night at the intersection of SW 4th and Taylor in Topeka.
Police say the boy who was hit was transported to a local hospital with what were determined to be life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
