The Topeka Police Department is searching for a man who held up a convenience store at gunpoint early Friday morning.

TPD responded to an armed robbery at the Kwik Shop on SW 37th and Humboldt St. just after 1:30 a.m.

The clerk told them a black man wearing sweatpants and a hoodie, with a mask over his face used a silver handgun to rob the convenience store.

The suspect then left the store heading south from the business, then east through the houses. The amount of money he took was not disclosed.
