Fatal accident near Berryton Wednesday morning

The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Wednesday morning fatality accident.
According to a release from the department, a call came in regarding the one-vehicle wreck just after 7:15 a.m.
Emergency crews found a Subaru Legacy in the ditch on the south side of the road in the 4700 block of SE 69th Street.
The driver of the Subaru, an adult female, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The front seat passenger, a juvenile male, was injured and transported to a Topeka hospital by AMR with serious injuries.
Names are being withheld pending family notification.
