Another felon with a firearm was arrested by Topeka police Friday afternoon.

Twenty-five-year-old Tommy Sherrill, Jr. was found near SE Lott and SE Illinois and he fled in a vehicle. While fleeing, he almost struck two law enforcement vehicles and caused an accident at 25th and SE Kentucky. His vehicle couldn’t run and he was caught there. The person who hit his vehicle as Sherrill ran a stop sign was transported by AMR to a local hospital with a minor injury.

Sherrill is behind bars on charges for the firearm possession, the chase and the initial warrant.

This is the 22nd case in 2019 with a charge involving a felon in possession of a firearm reported by the Topeka Police Department.
