Fifteenth Felon in Possession Arrest For Topeka Police Monday

Topeka police arrested a man on drug and weapons charges Monday night.
Officers stopped a car just before 9:30 p.m. for a tag violation at SW Huntoon and Buchanan. The passenger in that vehicle, 30-year-old Robert Anthony Cervantez had a gun and methamphetamine. Cervantez is a convicted felon, who is not allowed to have a gun.
Cervantez has been booked on charges of Felon in Posession of a Firearm and Possession of Methamphetamine with intent to sell.
This is the 15th case in 2019 with a charge involving a felon in possession of a firearm reported
by the Topeka Police Department.
