Four arrested in connection with rural burglary

Four people have been arrested in connection with an aggravated burglary that occurred in the 7600 block of SW Urish Rd on August 26th.

Shawnee County Sheriff’s Sgt. Todd Stallbaumer said in a release that on Tuesday, officers from the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and Fugitive Warrants Unit arrested 24-year-old Matthew J. Kolbek Jr. of Topeka in the 1200 Block of SW Belle Terrace.

A firearm, ammunition, 8.3 lbs of Marijuana, over 60 THC vape cartridges, and approximately $3000 cash were seized from the residence.

Also arrested in the case were 21-year-old Emily M. Kratochvil, 18-year-old Sahayvian J. Griggs and 23-year-old Joshua M. Long.

All four were arrested for:

Aggravated Battery – Use of a Deadly Weapon

Aggravated Assault – Use of a Deadly Weapon

Aggravated Burglary

Criminal Threat

Criminal Damage to Property and

Criminal Use of a Firearm
