Inaugural “Pig ‘N Pour” event is coming to Topeka in June
The Kansas Expocentre announced today that the first-ever “Pig ‘N Pour” presented by Johnsonville will be coming to Topeka on Saturday, June 29, 2019, from 2 – 5 pm.
Attendees will have a chance to enjoy everything from bacon, to sausage, to pulled pork and more, as they try out all the best, and most creative, samplings from area restaurants, catering companies, and food trucks.
“We know that Topeka likes its food festivals”, said Kansas Expocentre’s Director of Marketing Allie Manning. “We wanted to create another localized event. So, we have created “Pig ‘N Pour.”
Because of the success of the Kansas Expocentre’s “Wing Fling” event during the past two years, Manning said that the “Pig ‘N Pour” will have a similar framework.
“We’re going to have multiple beer gardens that will feature beers from local breweries and live entertainment”, said Manning.
Although the Kansas Expocentre is keeping the list of restaurants and food trucks that are participating under wraps, for now, the presenting sponsor for the “Pig ‘N Pour” event is Johnsonville, whose brand is known to sausage lovers around the world.
“The “Pig ‘N Pour” presenting sponsor is Johnsonville”, said Manning. “So, I can tell you that Johnsonville will have a booth there. They’ll have a variety of different foods to sample. But, they’re known for brats.”
Tickets are available for purchase and start at just $25, which includes a collectible passport that grants you a sample from each restaurant plus a loaded souvenir bag.
