Investigation continues into body found Monday in Topeka

Topeka Police are continuing to investigate after a man was found dead inside a central Topeka home Monday morning.

Officers responded around 9:45 a.m. to the house, in the 700 block of SW Wayne Ave., near Children’s Park, where they found the man’s body.

The officers who arrived on scene saw “several suspicious circumstances”, so they secured the area and called in investigators.

The victim’s name has not been released, pending notification of the family.
