Kansas City, Kansas woman identified as car-pedestrian fatality victim Thursday

A Kansas City, Kansas woman is dead after a car-pedestrian crash on U.S. 69 Highway early Thursday morning.

Karla Ramirez was a passenger in a car that had lost control and struck the median on U.S. 69 south of West 95th Street in Overland Park. Ramirez left the car and was struck by a second vehicle also traveling northbound on U.S. 69. She was taken by Johnson County Med-Act to an area hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The investigation continues.
