Lawrence Islamic center burglary suspect in custody

32-year-old Amadou Oury Bah, the suspect in the recent burglary of the Islamic Center of Lawrence, was apprehended by police in Omaha, Nebraska Tuesday night.
Last Tuesday, August 13 at approximately 3:45 a.m., an unknown individual burglarized the Islamic Center on Naismith Drive, and through the course of the investigation detectives were able to link Bah to the crime.
An affidavit was submitted to the Douglas County District Attorney, and a felony warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest.
At this time, Bah remains in Omaha pending an extradition hearing scheduled for Thursday.
