One person arrested after Monday night shooting

One person was arrested after a shooting in the Montara neighborhood Monday night.
According to the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office, 25-year-old Alfredo Campa-Vazquez was shot in the leg after an altercation where he attempted to enter a neighbor’s residence in the 7200 block of SW Glencrest Drive around 11 p.m.
Campa-Vazquez was transported to a local hospital by AMR where he was treated and discharged to the custody of the Sheriff’s Office. He was then transported to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections and booked with a charge of Aggravated Battery.
The investigation continues.
