Robber comes up empty outside Topeka Pizza Hut Monday

An attempted robbery happened just after midnight this morning outside the Pizza Hut at SE 29th and California in Topeka.
The victims told police that a white or light-skinned black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black and white mask approached them as they were getting to their cars. He brandished a gun and asked them for their money.
The employees weren’t carrying any cash and the suspect left on foot. Police haven’t found him yet.
