Robbery and shooting Wednesday both under investigation; Topeka police seeking more information

Topeka Police are investigating a robbery and a shooting and trying to figure out if they go together.

The cops were called to the 1300 block of SW Harrison just after 7 p.m. on a shots fired report. Several people said someone tried to rob them at an apartment there. Police say a victim of the robbery and the robber exchanged gunfire.

Just after 9 p.m. police were called to a hospital as someone came in with a non-life threatening gunshot wound for treatment. The person who was shot didn’t give the police good information as to how the wound happened.
