Sheriff’s department and TPD make Chiefs hats official part of uniform this week

The Topeka Police Department and the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Department both announced this week that officers will be wearing Kansas City Chiefs hats as part of their uniforms to support them playing in the Super Bowl on Sunday.

The Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office posted on their Facebook Tuesday, saying, “Sheriff Hill is authorizing the use of Chiefs baseball/stocking hats this week! Go Chiefs!”

Many other law enforcement departments around the state have began doing the same.
