Around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, police were sent to the Walgreens at SW 29th and Gage. A man had walked in the store and told the staff he had been shot. The man was taken to a hospital. His wound is not life-threatening.

While officers were headed to Walgreens, dispatch received a call in the 4200 block of SW 29th Terrace on a report of a burglary to a vehicle. Dispatch advised that the victim saw someone burglarizing his vehicle and the victim went out to confront the suspect. The victim fired one shot towards the burglary suspect. The suspect took off running and was last seen running in the direction of Walgreens.

The two incidents were less than a half-mile apart, so police are investigating to see if they are related. The names of the people involved have not been released.
