Skeletal remains found; investigation to continue Tuesday

A skeleton was found near the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks office at 300 SW Wanamaker around 10 p.m. Monday night.
Shawnee County Sheriff’s officers aren’t sure if the skeleton is animal or human, but they’ll keep the scene secure until they know for sure and they’re waiting until daylight to continue the search.
The area where the remains were found is private property. Access was not being granted as of late Monday night.
