Sunday homicide investigation continues in Topeka

A woman is dead and a person of interest in the incident has been arrested.

The arrest was made following a 5-hour standoff Sunday afternoon near 15th and Tyler.

Topeka Police are investigating a homicide. They were initially called just after noon to a report that someone had suffered an unknown trauma. The woman who died was at the house and a man was inside.

The victim’s name has not been released pending family notification.
