The Washburn Softball Coaches Show

Conference tournaments are approaching fast for both baseball and softball.
The Ichabod softball team has their final weekend of games in the regular season this Friday and Saturday.
The baseball team has two more weeks of MIAA regular season action before the conference tournament is set to begin.
The Softball team split both of their games this past week. Falling to Northeastern in game one, 3-1 and then getting a 10-3 win in the second game of the double header. It was a wild day against Central Oklahoma. The Bronchos were ranked second in the country and the Ichabods almost swept them. Washburn won 5-1 in the first game and fell in the second game 4-3.
Home runs in the final inning decided both games. Taylor Kirk hit a home run to seal the win in the first game. The second game ended when UCO got a walk off two run home run.
The Ichabods have qualified for the conference tournament. The question will be what seed will they get. They could get anywhere from the two seed to the four seed. They are currently in a tie for third with Central Missouri at 15.7
