Thursday shooting in Topeka leaves one dead, another critically injured

The man who died in a shooting in South Topeka Thursday evening was identified by Topeka Police Friday afternoon.
Twenty-nine-year-old Marshall W. Hille died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound after shooting a 25-year-old woman whose name has not been released. She is in serious condition at a Topeka hospital. The original release from Topeka Police is below.
One person was killed and another critically hurt in a shooting in South Topeka Thursday evening.
Topeka Police were called around 6 p.m. to the 3900 block of SW Atwood Terrace where they found two people inside a residence, one killed and the other with life-threatening injuries. No names have been released pending notification of family.
