Thursday shooting under investigation in Topeka

A Topeka man has been shot and police are investigating.

The initial report happened just before 1:15 Thursday morning in the 1400 block of SW Washburn. A man had a wound that initially is being described as self-inflicted to his lower abdomen. The injury is non-life-threatening.

The victim is known to law enforcement, and they are following up on leads to be sure that the version of events they have been told about so far is accurate as others have said that the wound was made by someone else.
