Topeka man indicted on charges of robbing two cash loan stores

NEWS RELEASE FROM U.S. ATTORNEY STEPHEN MCALLISTER
A Topeka man was indicted today on charges of robbing two cash loan stores.
29-year-old Derick Renee Crawford of Topeka was charged with two counts of commercial robbery. The indictment alleges Crawford committed the following robberies:
Advance America, 2232 Louisiana Street, Lawrence, Kan., Feb. 21, 2019. Advance America, 1947 Northwest Topeka Blvd., Topeka, Kan., March 29, 2019.
If convicted, Crawford faces a penalty of up to 20 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000.
