Topeka teen dead after being shot Saturday

Topeka Police are investigating a Saturday homicide.

Police were called just before 1:30 p.m. to an aggravated battery call in the 2200 block of SE Ohio Street.

Initially, it appeared that 18-year-old Ashley T. Usher was wounded, but it wasn’t initially thought to be life threatening. She then died at a Topeka health care facility.
