Two arrested on attempted 1st Degree Murder charges

Shots fired Monday afternoon resulted in two arrests in Topeka.

Police were called just after 12:30 p.m. to the 1500 block of NW Logan, where a small, black passenger car had just had gunshots fired out of it and left the area.

Officers found the car near Morse and North Kansas Avenue. The officer stopped the car and 21-year-old Stephaun Gales was arrested for Attempted 1st Degree Murder and Narcotics charges, while 18-year-old Trevor Meier was arrested on Attempted 1st Degree Murder (Conspiracy) and Narcotics charges.
