Two hurt in Tuesday morning crash

Two people were hurt in a Tuesday morning crash near Forbes Field.
The Shawnee County Sheriff’s office says a blue Toyota Camry driven by 62-year-old Sharon Frost of Berryton was northbound on Topeka Boulevard just before 7:15 a.m. when a southbound GMC Terrain, driven by 49-year-old Lisa Green of Topeka tried to turn left onto SW University Boulevard.
The vehicles collided. Both Frost and Green were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Green was cited for Failure to Yield the Right of Way.
Both drivers were the only occupants of the vehicles; both were wearing seatbelts.
