Weber Calls Wade “Doubtful” For NCAA Tournament

The news every K-State fan was waiting for turned out to be news they didn’t want to hear at all.

Kansas State landed in San Jose on Tuesday night as they gear up for their first round game against UC Irvine on Friday.

Bruce Weber spoke to the media contingent as they headed to their team hotel and it wasn’t good news.

Weber also mentioned that Wade wants to play but his foot injury is so severe that he physically can’t play.

Wade missed all but a few minutes in the last NCAA Tournament when K-State made the Elite Eight.

The injury is not the same injury as last year. It is on his other foot this year.

Wade has missed eight games this year and has injured his foot three different times. Wade injured it in the final game of the regular season against Oklahoma.

The injury occurred in the first half but Wade continued to play the second half.
