Westbound I-70 closed near Junction City Friday

Westbound I-70 from milemarker 298 to 299 near Junction City remains closed due to semi-truck crashes, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.
It is not known at this time how long the closure will take place. Motorists will follow the signed detour by lighted message boards.
KDOT spokesperson Kim Stich noted that traffic is continuing to back up as of 10:30 a.m. Westbound traffic should attempt to find alternate routes for the rest of the morning.
