WIBW Radio/KAN Podcast: Kansas Farm Bureau President Rich Felts

Kansas Farm Bureau President Rich Felts, a Montgomery County farmer, joined us on Friday’s Ag Issues program. He commented on the weather. He lost half his corn acres to flooding earlier this year. Farmers in southeast Kansas could begin harvesting short season corn in about two weeks…but yields are uncertain. Rich also commented on Monday’s USDA numbers saying he was bit skeptical of the data. He also talked about the Tyson fire and the impact it is having on beef producers.
