WIBW Radio/KAN Podcast: Kansas State FSA Executive Director David Schemm

Kansas Farm Service Agency State Executive Director David Schemm joined us on Friday’s Ag Issues program.  Schemm along with other state ag officials visited several flooded areas of Doniphan and Leavenworth Counties and spoke with farmers and ranchers about their current situation. He also talked about several USDA and NRCS programs that are available to farmers and ranchers who have suffered flood damage and suffered losses due to the numerous winter storms during the past several months. One of those includes the Livestock Indemnity Program, which provides benefits to eligible livestock owners or contract growers for livestock deaths in excess of normal mortality caused by eligible loss conditions.
