WIBW Radio/Kansas Ag Network Podcast: Kansas Wheat CEO Justin Gilpin
April 1, 2019 2:19PM CDT

Justin Gilpin, CEO with Kansas Wheat, talked about the condition of the state’s wheat crop now that much of the crop has broke dormancy. He said wheat in western Kansas looks good, but central Kansas is having a few problems. Wheat acreage in the state is down sharply due to wet conditions at planting time. Gilpin also commented on a new wheat tariff agreement with Brazil, and the importance of the USMCA agreement for wheat growers. Congress could vote on that agreement later this month.
