Woman arrested for murder in Monday Junction City stabbing

A Junction City man was stabbed to death Monday night and a woman is under arrest.

Police say in a news release that officers were called to the 100 block of East Vine Street just before 9:30 p.m. and found 55-year-old Eddie Starks suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to Stormont Vail in Topeka where he died.

Forty-nine-year-old Vondra Brown was arrested for 2nd Degree Murder in the case. Police say she is the only suspect and there is no ongoing threat to the public. The investigation continues.
