Fatal accident near statehouse Friday possibly weather-related

The weather was likely a factor in a truck-pedestrian accident that killed one person in Topeka Friday night.
Two men were crossing Topeka Boulevard at SW 7th from west to east when a man driving a black Ford F150 struck one of the men. The injured man was taken to a local hospital, where he died.
At this point, no criminal activity is suspected. The man who died is 53 years old. The name is being withheld until family can be notified.
