Preseason KVA Rankings Feature Nine Area Teams

Nine area teams, including three from the capital city, are ranked in the preseason edition of the Kansas Volleyball Associations Top 10 class rankings, released Wednesday.

Washburn Rural and Hayden, both of whom made trips to state last season, are ranked in their respective classes, with the Junior Blues tenth in 6A and the Wildcats third in 4A. The Seaman Lady Vikes are tapped for a strong season with a preseason ranking of fourth in class 5A.

Two area teams are the preseason favorites in their class, with defending 3A state champion Silver Lake the top choice in 3A and Wabaunsee ranked number one in 2A.
