The Boston Red Sox selected Kansas right-handed pitcher Ryan Zeferjahn with the final pick of the third round and 107th overall pick in the Major League Baseball June Entry Draft on Tuesday afternoon.

Zeferjahn, who starred at Seaman High School, had previously been drafted in the 37th round of the 2016 draft by Tampa Bay. He elected to play college ball and was a mainstay in the Jayhawks rotation the last three seasons. As a junior in 2019, he was a first-team All-Big 12 selection, going 5-2 with a 3.97 ERA and 107 strikeouts in 88.1 innings.

Here’s how it sounded on the MLB.com broadcast of the Draft when Zeferjahn was selected, with MLB.com’s Jonathan Mayo providing analysis.
