Shawnee County Football Tour 2019 - Silver Lake Eagles

The sixth stop on this year’s Shawnee County Football Tour is in Silver Lake to check on the perennial powerhouse Eagles.

LAST YEAR: The Eagles posted an unbeaten regular season and stormed into the sectional round of the playoffs at 10-0, but their season ended there in dramatic fashion as Riley County, the eventual 2A runners-up, rallied from behind to beat the Eagles in overtime.

PLAYERS TO WATCH: Big senior lineman Caden Cromer leads a defense with seven returning starters, having earned first team All-League honors last year. Senior Cody Hay takes the reins of the Eagles’ spread offense at quarterback and has the experience and ability to keep that machine humming.
